July 16, 2011 - Grandpa Montgomery Turns 90

Went to my mom's in Farmington this weekend.  Spent the night with her and helped with my Grandpa's 90th birthday party.  It was so nice to see the family again.  Again, another HOT weekend but it was wonderful.

Uncle Sam gives a wonderful talk about my grandpa's life & his affect on those around him

My dad and I went to visit my Aunt Carol and her husband Jim in Columbia this weekend.  I took some pictures of their dog DUKE - I could not believe how HUGE he is!!  I've never seen a dog that big.  And he was so gentle and sweet.  What a lover!!

We celebrated a true USA July 4th here in Israel.  We BBQed hamburgers, hotdogs, had slaw and watermelon.....we even had our own version of washers.  I named it agorot!!  An agorot is a coin used in Israel, it is worth about 3 cents.  I could not find any washers but I had lots of agorots!!  I even had a marker to make some green and some orange.  I used boxes we had gotten our laundry in while at the Hilton for the "boxes" and then deli containers for the "hole".  Hey, it worked!!  Several of the Boeing guys that were here in Israel came to the BBQ and enjoyed themselves.

Today (in Eilat) we went to the Camel Ranch.  What a great experience.  We had a one hour ride with Tally as our guide.  He was so funny!  I asked him how long he had been working at the ranch and he said "I just started yesterday".  The ride was great and not smelly and as hot as I thought it would be.

After we left the ranch we went to the Dolphin Reef and watch dolphins playing.  It was so cool!  The water was wonderful and we just chilled.  Had a snack and then went back to the hotel and the pool.  Then I had my first ever massage.  TREMENDOUS!!!  I never knew such a tiny person would have so much force.
